چکیده
This study aims to determine the ability of ethanolic extract Kaempferia galanga L. rhizome in inhibiting growth Microsporum canis and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Rhizome concentrations used were 40, 50, 60, 70%. Each treatment was replicate 4 times. Results showed that K. up 70% have not significantly differences against M. S. inhibit with highest inhibition 5.88 mm (in compared ketoconazole 10.35 mm). Whereas epidermidis 3.16 chloramphenicol 25.49

Toxicity of crude rhizome extract of Kaempferia galanga L. (Proh Hom).
The ethanolic rhizome extract of Kaempferia galanga L. (Zingiberaceae) was studied by conventional pharmacological methods including the Hippocratic screening test, and acute and subacute toxicities in rats. The hexane fraction was tested for dermal irritation in rabbits. The ethanolic extract, when tested by the Hippocratic screening test, demonstrated signs that indicated CNS depression such ...

BACKGROUND Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is an important public health problem in several tropical and subtropical parts of the world particularly Thailand. Chemotherapy of CCA is largely ineffective and discovery and development of effective alternative drugs is urgently needed. The objective of the study was to confirm the anti-CCA potential as well as toxicity of the crude extract of Kaempferia g...

Abstract Background and Objective: Dermatophytes are the fungi that have the ability to attack the keratinized tissues such as the skin, hair and nails. Infections caused by these organisms are named dermatophytosis. We aimed to compare Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of Crude extracts of Active Actinomycete Isolates with Terbinafine, Griseofulvin, Ketoconazole and Fluconazole Drugs ...

Dermatophytosis is a common zoonosis in urban centers. Dogs and cats have played an important role as its disseminators. Environmental decontamination is essential for the prevention of its propagation to humans and animals. However, sanitizers or disinfectants with antifungal activity, currently available, have high toxicity. The present study evaluated the in vitro effects of an extract of ci...
